Corporate Governance Program
The aim of the program is to provide participants with up-to-date information on corporate governance principles and other related areas. It significantly increases their professional qualifications for the proper performance as members of an administrative body and in managerial roles. The expertise in this Program is underwritten by the University of Economics in Prague.
The purpose of this training program is also to enhance knowledge of all legislative, financial and relationship standards that an executive manager needs to know. At the same time, it is possible to share experience with other program participants from other companies.
Module description and lecturer
I. Corporate Governance Program Module
- Basic principles of corporate governance, management models, agency problem and its solution, the historical connotations, binding shareholder AGM-administrative body-management, performance evaluation of directors, practical exercises – meetings of the Supervisory Board / Board of Directors, Compliance

II. Corporate Governance Program Module
- Law and its aspects in the work of a member of a statutory body, criminal responsibility and powers of a member of a statutory body, Act on commercial corporations, new Civil Code, Protection of competition, industrial rights protection, insolvency, execution

III. Corporate Governance Program Module
- Financial knowledge of a member of a statutory body, role of external and internal auditors in a company, risk management, tax issues

IV. Corporate Governance Program Module
- Soft-skills in corporate governance, crisis and media communication (media relations), ethics in society, performance evaluation of a member of a statutory body.

Organization of the Corporate Governance Program
The program consists of 4 two-day modules. One training day means eight lessons with a break for a lunch break (from 9.30 to 12.30, then from 13.30 to 17.00) and always dealing with a specific topic.
The programs take place in the external premises of the CIoD in Prague. The completion time is a maximum of 1 year (12 consecutive months, not a calendar year) from the start date of the first training.
Upon completion of all modules and preparation of the final assignment, the participant will receive a “Graduation Certificate”. If a participant is unable to attend a module for his / her work in his / her term, he / she is offered a substitute term.

Cancellation Policy
Enrollment in the training program may be canceled up to 4 weeks before the start, with no cancellation fees. In case of cancellation less than 4 weeks before the start, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged. There are no refunds of fees in case of cancellation less than 2 weeks prior to the start.
Conditions for obtaining a certificate of graduation
The entire program includes 4 two-day modules. After completing all the modules and submitting the final assignment on “My Experience in Implementing and Complying with Corporate Governance Rules in a Company where I am a member of a statutory body”, the participant receives a graduate certificate. To obtain a certificate, participation in all modules is required (ie 100% participation).
